I have practiced family law exclusively since my call to the bar in 2014. I represent clients in a wide range of issues, including custody and access, child and spousal support and complex property division. I have appeared in various Ontario courts.
My passion for assisting individuals and families began prior to entering the practice of law. I spent several years as a law clerk with the Family Responsibility Office (“FRO”) where I gained first-hand experience involving high volume support enforcement cases. I understand how the FRO works and I draw on this experience to help clients navigate the system to meet their needs.
While at the FRO, my interest in family law extended beyond support enforcement cases. I had the privilege of working with the Central Authority for Ontario under the Hague Convention - advocating for parents whose children had been wrongfully removed and retained in another jurisdiction as well as securing the right of access.
I attended Osgoode Hall Law School and obtained my Juris Doctor in 2013. While in law school I remained active in the community. I volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, family law project where I regularly attended court and assisted family law litigants facing one of the most difficult times in their lives.
It is through these collective experiences that I have developed an understanding of people and the issues that matter most. I utilize a practical approach to family law in order to effectively advocate for clients in negotiations, mediations and various stages of litigation.
Before joining Stanchieri Family Law, I worked at a boutique family law firm in Toronto specializing in high-conflict matrimonial disputes. I articled with the Ministry of the Attorney General - Crown Law Office, Civil. I am a member of the Ontario Bar Association and the Advocates’ Society.
I am drawn to family law because it is both challenging and rewarding. I am proud to be a part of a team that shares my commitment to the practice while delivering quality service to clients.
Trust is at the core of the lawyer-client relationship. I take the time to listen to the client, understand their needs and explore various options so that we can achieve their overall goals.
