Family Law

Whether you are ending a relationship, or starting a new one, we can help protect your legal rights during life’s transitions and unexpected challenges. Our law firm focuses exclusively in family law, and our lawyers mainly represent clients with legal needs related to divorce and separation as well as marriage and cohabitation. Our legal team is highly experienced at recommending the most appropriate legal strategy for your unique situation and representing you during the entire legal process. Family law is complex and hiring our law firm can help you avoid costly errors while increasing your chance of success with your case.

Areas of Focus

Divorce & Separation

For people who are ending (or have ended) the relationship with their (ex)spouse. We can help protect your financial interests and/or parenting rights during a contested divorce or separation. Our lawyers are effective at reaching settlements out of court while being equally effective at resolving disputes in court when the other side is being unreasonable.

High-Conflict Situations

For situations where the (ex)spouse is being uncooperative or unreasonable. We are highly effective at dealing with difficult people, particularly in high-conflict situations related to infidelity, personality disorders, addictions, and abuse (emotional or physical).

Marriage & Cohabitation

For people who are planning a future with their new or current spouse. We can draft a legal document that allows couples to discuss and agree on how their financial interests would be handled in case of a divorce or separation. Since both spouses agree to the terms ahead of time, you can avoid costly and lengthy legal battles should the relationship end unexpectedly in the future. Similar to an insurance policy, you will be relieved to have one if you ever need one.

Family Businesses

For situations when a business needs to be part of the legal process. We have extensive experience representing clients who have the legal complexities and requirements of business ownerships and partnerships.

OUR APPROACH

MEET
The first step is to book a legal consultation with one of our lawyers to further discuss your goals, priorities, and expectations with the legal process. You will have the opportunity to tell your story, ask questions specific to your situation, evaluate the overall fit with our firm, learn about the various legal options available to you, and get a general idea about the legal strategy (and estimated time/fees) needed to resolve your legal matter.
Plan
Once you retain our firm, we immediately start working on your matter by conducting a deep analysis of your situation and circumstances. At this stage, we will organize all your information and have multiple discussions to help us finalize the most appropriate legal strategy for your situation. We continue to have discussions until you are comfortable and satisfied with the strategy.
IMPLEMENT
We implement the plan and carefully monitor the ongoing progress of your matter to ensure the legal strategy continues to remain productive and effective for your situation. During this stage, we communicate with you regularly and work together diligently until we resolve your legal issues and achieve the desired results for your matter.
ADJUST
In family law, it is very common to encounter unexpected complications that are often out of everyone’s control. While we try to anticipate most of these scenarios, it is possible that we may need to adjust the legal strategy along the way and repeat steps #3/#4 until all the legal issues have been resolved for your case. Otherwise, this step can be skipped altogether.
RESOLVE

Congratulations, you’re now ready to move forward with your life and future plans. At this stage, we finalize any outstanding items and save all your records for future reference. We also take the opportunity to ask about your experience with our firm, particularly with the goals, priorities, and expectations that you shared with us during the initial consultation in step #1.
