booking process

INTAKE

Once you contact our office, our Client Service Manager will assist you with the booking process. We will need to complete a conflict check and gather some basic information to ensure our firm is the right fit for your situation.

BOOK

Once the intake is complete, you will be able to book the consultation online (or by phone) with your preferred lawyer (or the most suitable lawyer for your situation). For your convenience, we offer consultations in-person (at our office) or remotely (by phone or video).

MEET

During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to share your story, ask questions specific to your situation, evaluate the overall fit with our firm, learn about the various legal options available to you, and get a general idea about the legal strategy (with estimated time/fees) needed to resolve your legal matter. There is no obligation to retain us after the consultation, but we can move quickly with next steps if/when you are ready to move forward with our firm.

Questions?

Is the consultation mandatory?

Yes, all new clients need to complete the consultation with our firm. It is one of the most important steps in evaluating the overall fit between you and our firm.

What is the fee for the consultation?

The fee is $150 CAD (+ tax) and the meeting includes 30 minutes with an associate and/or a partner where appropriate. The fee is credited towards future legal services if you decide to retain our firm.

Do you offer free consultations?

We do not offer free consultations; however, the consultation fee can be applied as a credit towards future legal services if you decided to retain our firm.

Do you accept Legal Aid?

Unfortunately, we do not accept Legal Aid cases at this time. Please visit Legal Aid Ontario’s website for a list of lawyers who can help with this type of service.

Is the consultation confidential?

All the information you share with our firm is strictly private and confidential. We will never share your information with your (ex)spouse or anyone else.
