bio

When attending law school at Osgoode Hall in 2003, an immense opportunity to article with a leading criminal law firm provided the background I needed to advocate for families finding themselves in impossible situations.

After being called to the bar in 2004, I spent over a decade practicing criminal law with many cases inadvertently involving allegations of intimate partner violence. These cases revealed my intuitive talent for harnessing legal matters in family law, providing the stepping-stones I needed to focus on my true calling, family law. After several years working at a prominent family law firm, I gained the experience needed to manage high-conflict family law cases.

Since joining Stanchieri Family Law as an Associate in 2023, my experience in criminal domestic violence makes me uniquely suited to focus on intimate partner violence, high conflict parenting issues, and divorces seeking unjust enrichment and support to compensate for extra-marital affairs. I believe my extensive experience with criminal law trials gives my clients valuable insights into the threats posed by domestic violence. As such, I can effectively eliminate the looming threat of criminal sanctions while helping my clients attain their family law goals. My advanced understanding of criminal law has been exceptionally successful for my clients in family law, who benefit from my fluency in both areas of law. As a result, I help my clients overcome the chaos that ensues when a marriage breaks up, creating smooth pathways to peace and finality. I foster solutions that resolve issues quickly and cost-efficiently, constantly challenging myself to achieve the most favourable results with every case I represent.

My passion for finding the best possible path makes me very good at my job, with results that speak for themselves. My career is extremely fulfilling, knowing the tremendous relief I provide to my clients who faced impossible circumstances and triumphed. I’m akin to a seasoned tour guide through the family law system, devising strategies and road maps toward efficiently achieving my client’s goals. I am ready to provide that guidance to you and welcome the opportunity to discuss the process involved in resolving your family’s legal challenges.
