Since 2000, I’ve been working with companies of all sizes within a wide range of industries. The first part of my career was mainly focused in digital marketing, while my most recent experience has evolved and expanded to general business management. I’ve been part of SFL since the firm opened its doors, so I’ve had the opportunity and privilege to help the firm grow and serve over 2,300+ clients since 2008. Today, I continue to manage the firm’s operations and leverage new technologies to help maintain efficiency with our systems, policies and procedures.
Whether it’s at work or at home, my experience has taught me that people are stronger when they work together, so finding the right fit with people is the key to success – both professionally and personally. Nobody’s perfect, but I believe a perfect balance of strengths and weaknesses within a team brings out the best in people, which is at the core of how we hire people and work with clients at SFL.
The legal process is a new experience for most people, and just like other industries, the legal industry also has it’s fair share of good and bad professionals, so finding the right fit with a family lawyer is the most important decision you’ll make during the process. The reality is all lawyers have a professional obligation to the Law Society of Ontario, but not all lawyers have an obligation to keep clients happy and satisfied with their experience. This is where SFL is different because we apply modern business rules and best-practices to help keep our clients happy and satisfied from start to finish, which is probably one of the reasons why we have the most client reviews than any other family law firm in the city.
To help minimize risk and reach positive results in family law, I always encourage clients to interview different lawyers before retaining one. It’s a bit more work up-front, but finding the right fit will make them happier in the end.
