At a very young age, I realized that I wanted a career in law and so I tailored my education around this goal. After graduating from University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, I joined a full service law firm in Mississauga where I was able to work in civil, criminal and family law. Working at this firm allowed me to experience various aspects of law but within a few months, I discovered my passion for family law. I found that I excelled in working directly with clients. Many clients are intimidated by the family law process and overwhelmed by the complex emotions that result from a separation. I strive to give them the support they need. There is nothing more rewarding than helping clients through a difficult time in their lives and that feeling helped me decide that I wanted to pursue a career in family law.
In 2016, I joined a boutique Toronto family law firm and had the opportunity to continue to hone my skills. I was chosen to assist in the preparation of two complex trials, which allowed me to gain hands on experience within a courtroom. Over the last few years, I have gained extensive knowledge in preparing Financial Statements, Disclosure Briefs and other court materials. As I continue to grow my career and further my education, I want to make sure that anything new I learn will help me keep my focus on building client relationships and supporting them in any way I can.
When I am not working, I love listening to music, watching murder mysteries and travelling with my family and friends. I am also a huge Toronto Raptors fan – go Raptors!
